Barbra Walters Most Interesting People Blog

Summary

This video was about the "10 most interesting people", with the host Barbara Walters. It started off talking about each person's background, and projects associated with that person. The package then explained how they accomplished these goals and who impacted their lives during this process. These stories were told in an interview form. Barbra Walters made a package using B-roll from the "10 most interesting people" past projects. Walters would then ask the celebrities questions about their personal life, and how challenging it is to have a social life outside of the spotlight.

Application

I enjoyed how the interviews were set up, and how the shots helped tell the story of how that person rose to fame. I believe I could apply the interview set up to my own work, it seemed to work very well and it was an effective way to help tell the story. I have already learned how to set up a story like this, and also know how to do the voiceovers that were used throughout some of the pictures and videos to describe what was going on. The packages contained a variety of the six shot sequence. However, a lot of the shots were clips from past movies, so they contained more panning, zooming, and action.

Overview

I think that the producers did a very good job telling the stories over the different people's lives, and successfully showed why these people deserved to be on the "Top 10 Most Interesting People" list. I think they could've gone even more in depth in telling people's stories, each person could've been analyzed more, to show even more projects they have accomplished. Overall, I didn't really agree with who was on the list of Top 10 people, because some of them were interesting. But they did a good job telling the story of how those people rose to success.
